Call for AIOU Research Publication Grants 2024-25

Applications are invited by Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization for AIOU Research Publication Grants 2025 for the research publications of year 2024.

2. Kindly Click on “Register” if you haven’t already registered.
3. Sign in with your registered credentials.
4. Once signed in, click on the “New Calls” option highlighted as green.
5. Select “Research Publication Grant”
6. Click on “Apply”
7. Click on “Click here to add record“ given under 1. Research Publications and 2. Book Authored / Edited
8. Make sure that you have entered all the records you want to submit for application.
9. Click at Back icon () and then click on Submit Application. ( Data entered but not submitted is added to your profile but not submitted against the call).
10. After your application is submitted, the status is changed to SUBMITTED from APPLY.

GUIDELINES FOR AIOU RESEARCH PUBLICATION GRANTS

Research Publication Grant Program aims to promote the research culture at AIOU by enhancing the research publications by the researchers of AIOU. Research Articles and Books published are considered under this program:

A.      Eligibility Criteria

• The Research Publication Grant shall be applicable to employees who are working at AIOU on regular basis/TTS/contract at the time of call for application.
• All AIOU applicants will be eligible irrespective of their authorship position in publication.
• The award shall be distributed among AIOU faculty/employees who have claimed and are deemed eligible for the award. All eligible AIOU authors shall get their proportionate share only.
• The retired faculty members shall also be eligible for the award. But only those research publications shall be considered which were published before retirement of applicant.
• AIOU students shall be eligible irrespective of their authorship position in publication. Their publications shall not bound to duration of study at AIOU but the publication must be from their research work/thesis. It should be endorsed by the supervisor at the time of application submission for RPG.
• AIOU students will receive special award of Rs. 10,000/- for W category Publication and Rs. 5,000/- in X and Y category publications. The award money shall be divided among AIOU students who have claimed and are deemed eligible for the award.
• HEC criteria for journals will be applied for evaluation/consideration of the publications. Latest HJRS indexed journals will be considered.
• Maximum three research papers will be awarded in a calendar year subject to their publication in the same calendar year. Books shall be counted separately.
• Name/ affiliation of author(s) with AIOU in the publication is pre-requisite for availing this grant. 
• If research article(s) or book(s) is written by more than one author, the external author shall not be eligible to receive incentive award.
• This grant shall be given upon the print publication of the Article/Book except where there is only online version of journal/book released.
• The book should have minimum 150 pages and should be published by any reputed publisher.
• Thesis re-published in book format shall not be considered.
• Book should have been peer-reviewed.
• Books recognized by HEC with HEC equivalence certificate shall be considered only.
• Book with HEC equivalence certificate of one (01) Research Article will get award money equal to the category and if equivalent to two (02) Research Articles then shall get award money equal to two times of category amount.
• The applicant shall submit the hard copy of the book.

B.       Amount of Grant

• Grant against research article publication in National or International journals is as follow: 

• Students will receive special award of Rs. 10,000/- in W category Publication and Rs. 5,000/- in X and Y category publications.

C.      Documents Required

Following documentary proofs for Book Publication shall be submitted to ORIC Department:

• HEC equivalence certificate
• Cover page and back cover of the book
• Table of contents of book
• Publisher’s website home page print
• Similarity index certificate (generated in Turnitin) that should be less than 19%.
• Two (2) sample chapters
• Peer-review certificate/proof
• Certificate that no remuneration was received against the said book from any other institution.

Following documents can be requested by ORIC Department for Research Article Publication Grants:

• The front and back cover of the journal/issue.
• Title page of research article showing all relevant information about publication i.e. article title, journal name, volume, issue no, pages, authors names, authors affiliation etc.
• Proof of journal’s HEC category at the time of publication.
• In case of journals having online versions only, the print of the main web page along with list of articles and reprint of research article from the website.
