Hertfordshire Career Accelerator (HCA) Program is a UK based initiative which is designed for educational institutions to enhance faculty and students’ capacity of turning their knowledge, interests and experiences into realistic and ambitious tech-careers. HCA train students and faculty to build their career path, through international exposure (UK Exchange Program) by qualifying for international job market or launching innovation-based tech-startups jointly with international investors (UK & Silicon Valley USA).
Team of Directors of HCA visited Pakistani Universities from November 09-21, 2020. ORIC-AIOU arranged their visit of AIOU on November 13, 2020 for an interactive workshop to orient Faculty members of AIOU about various aspects and awareness of international opportunities offered Hertfordshire Career Accelerator (HCA). The Honorable Vice Chancellor AIOU, Prof. Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum was chief guest of this workshop.
HCA Team members Dr. Shahina Waheed, a Development Economist, gave a comprehensive overview and introduction of the program. Mr. Asif Raja, Founder and CEO of MindMakr, UK, talked on opportunities for international career paths.
The Heads of Academic departments were among the participants who not only attended the workshop but also put in some very helpful suggestions which were appreciated by the program heads.
The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. M. Latif Gondal, Executive Director (P&M/Head ORIC.
